Change is always an internal process

“I’m gonna make a change,
for once in my life.
It’s gonna feel real good,
gonna make a difference,
gonna make it right.”
Michael Jackson – Man in the mirror

If you exercise more than you it, then you’ll lose weight.
Change your thoughts and you will change your life.
So that you can love other, you must first love yourself.
You can’t have a permanent change with fast diet.

Above I listed some statements that I have come across during my life. Some of them I’ve heard years ago and from time to time they pop in to my minds. Though I’ve been aware of the matters I feel like now the change is possible. It’s possible because I have motivation and I believe in me. I believe that I can achieve the things that I want.

I’ve tried the change before but I didn’t succeed then. Some points I didn’t have enough faith in me, some points I changed because others wanted me to change. I didn’t have enough motivation so the change was like a drug: it worked for a while and I felt awesome but then the effect stopped and I returned back to the old.

The change is always an internal process. If you want to change your life permanently, make changes that become a way of life, not just a shooting stars then the thing that matters the most is passion. If you don’t have that then the chances for the change are quite small and the situation will end to disappointment and you might feel yourself as a failure. The change also should come from inside, from me: I want to change because I want to feel better. If I change because of someone or some external factor then I only make myself feel bad and make the situation worse.

The change also requires readiness. Whether is about physical or mental change it takes time and energy. One has to be ready to make the effort so that the change will hapen and endure the pain that it makes. “No pain, no gain” as my dear brother always said to me when I was complaining the pain in my body after an exercise. One also has to be ready to abandon the old and welcome the new with open arms. The change is frightening and it would be easier to stay in the old and comfortable. However life is constantly changing so why don’t we with it?

It’s impossible to change others, the only thing we can effect on is ourselves. We can act as an inspiration, inspiritators and encourage other to change. We can try and ignite the spark on other but it depends of the receiver that will the spark catch a fire. That’s why instead of focusing our energy to changing other we could use that energy to ourselves. Bravely take steps towards the changes, in our own pace and see what life has to offer for us.

“The first step towards getting somewhere is to decide that you are not going to stay where you are” — John Pierpont Morgan
